Custom Seals are designed and manufactured by Proform Custom Machine. Utilizing quality urethane, our seals are capable of withstanding the harshest of stresses, abuse and wear that are common to leak test applications. Seals can be designed to be expandable (for inside of a hole or on the outside of a tube), flange sealing or cone shaped (male or female) and gasket style. Hardness of seals includes very soft - 10 durometer A to hard - 90 durometer A. The application and test part characteristics dictates which hardness should be selected. Colors include red, yellow, grey, brown, blue, black, green and orange. Although the color has no true relationship to hardness, it can be helpful to identify different seal shapes and hardness on a machine. Seal Holders are designed especially so that the seals are retained in our holders and don't fall out during production. Re-tooling an entire machine with Proform seals and holders is common. Sometimes, you may have a machine that has seals which are no longer available, very time consuming and expensive to produce or just take a lot of time to replace. Proform can retool your machine to reduce down-time and maintenance time. In addition, our designs can increase productivity through better repeatability or faster cycle times.
